Pavel

Top left: Pavel, owner of Mexi-can on College near Lansdowne allowed me to capture his youthful bravado whilst he prepared a Burrito to rave about!

As I sketched Pavel, we talked. Despite being just 20, Pavel already has been building his restaurant for a year and a half. His cousin is already operating a second location on college. Next year he plans a patio to accommodate his growing clientele. When I completed this drawing he called his grandmother, perhaps is the reason the recipes are truly authentic, to view it. My casual impression now resides on the side of his fridge. I think his impression shows the chutzpah of young entrepreneur.

No.2. Tenzin.Tenzin watched me sketch an astrologer and waited patiently to request a sketch. Tenzin is an accomplished student in manga but rarely draws from life. Attending school his desires flip between the legal profession and art.
Go with your heart.

No.3 Alexandra...Alexandra is a new mature 1st year student at the UFT.  Studying ardently over a coffee materials for a Humanities program. She had noticed me attempting to draw her and made an effort to hold her pose.
Thank you for that.
I did apologize for the three left eyes and whilst it wasn't perfect at all I did think it capture something of her warm character. We talked for about architecture and urban planning where her interests seem to be taking her. I am confident if the Alexandra takes this root the world in a small way will be more livable.
