Casual Impressionism: I found there is nothing more challenging or interesting than the faces of those around me. My drawings are made on the spot, quickly and spontaneously - my subjects are unposed and initially unaware that I am committing my impression of them to newsprint. At The Mascot
Some names and stories to follow
Pic 2
Osheen , an experimental photographer. My portrait is hardly photographically realistic but the background has an experimental feel.. Osheen sports a fine red beard. And I might be forgiven thinking he could have Celtic roots.
Osheen is in fact Armenian. I urge you to visit his website www.osheen.ca. Our city is full of talent and energy. Osheen's work can be found at the Lonsdale Gallery.
Pic 3
Dan, at the Cameron supping a beer with a good friend whom had apparently invited him to a recent wedding. Dan is a sound man able to solve tech audio issues in a single bound caught attentively listening to band.
Bottom and putting on an incredibly animated
performance of musical theatre, art, comedy and music with some appropriately risque overTONES Mr Rich and the lollipops are why this city is livable.
See them Tuesdays at the Cameron... otherwise if u don't it will be bad for your cultural health.
